President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed gratitude following the successful rescue of the schoolchildren and teachers abducted by suspected Ansaru terrorists in Oyo State, describing the operation as a major victory for the nation’s security agencies.
In a statement released on Friday night, the President confirmed that all the victims were rescued alive and unharmed, stressing that no ransom was paid and no concessions were made to the abductors.
Tinubu commended the officers and operatives involved in the rescue mission for their courage, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to protecting the lives of Nigerians.
He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to confront terrorism and other forms of insecurity, declaring that those responsible for acts of terror would continue to face relentless pursuit by the Nigerian state.
The President assured Nigerians that his government remains committed to safeguarding lives and property, defending communities, and ensuring that peace and security prevail across the country.
“We will protect our people, defend our communities, and never relent until peace and security prevail across our country,” the President stated.
