The people of Ijoun Town in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State are set to celebrate their cultural heritage and communal identity as preparations commence for the 2026 Ẹsan Boromu, Ijoun Day Celebration.
The annual celebration has been scheduled to hold from November 27 to December 5, 2026, in Ijoun Town, with sons and daughters of the community, residents, friends and well-wishers expected to participate.
In an official announcement, the planning committee described the forthcoming celebration as an opportunity for the people of Ijoun, both at home and in the diaspora, to reconnect with their roots and celebrate the history and traditions that bind the community together.
The committee said the 2026 edition is expected to be a memorable occasion, with the celebration providing a platform to promote unity, cultural heritage, history and communal bonds among the people.
It further called on all sons and daughters of Ijoun to support the planning committee and contribute towards making the celebration a successful and grand event.
The organisers also extended the invitation to residents, friends and lovers of Ijoun, urging them to join the community in celebrating its heritage and strengthening relationships among its people.
According to the committee, the celebration is not only about festivities but also an opportunity for the people to come together, appreciate their shared history and reinforce the sense of belonging that defines the Ijoun community.
The Ẹsan Boromu, Ijoun Day 2026 will take place in Ijoun Town, Yewa North, Ogun State, from November 27 to December 5, 2026.
