Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Boluwatife Babaseyi, has been bereaved following the death of Ama Ajayi Aimenoho, the woman who raised him as a mother after the loss of his biological mother.
Mama Aimenoho, who hailed from Edo State, died on Monday afternoon at the age of 86.
She reportedly took responsibility for raising DSP Babaseyi and his younger siblings more than two decades ago, providing care and support to the family following the death of their biological mother.
Her passing has been described as a painful loss to DSP Babaseyi, his siblings and the entire family, who are mourning the woman who played a significant maternal role in their lives.
A wake-keep service will be held at her residence on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, while her remains will be laid to rest on Thursday, September 17, according to Christian rites.
Reacting to the development, the Assistant to the PPRO, Mustapha Asade, expressed his condolences to DSP Babaseyi and the entire family.
Asade prayed to God to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss and comfort them during this difficult period.
