A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Hon. Dr. Ololade Kehinde, has congratulated the senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, on his emergence as the party’s governorship flagbearer in the state.
Yayi emerged victorious in the APC governorship primary election held on Thursday after polling 304,005 votes to defeat his closest rival, Abayomi Hunye.In a congratulatory statement personally signed and made available to journalists, Dr. Ololade described the senator’s victory as well-deserved, noting that he had paid his dues within the party through years of dedication and service.According to him, Senator Yayi remains a man of integrity whose leadership qualities and commitment to development have continued to earn him widespread support across Ogun State.The APC chieftain also commended residents of the state for their confidence in both the APC and Yayi’s vision for the future of Ogun State.
“The people of Ogun State have once again demonstrated their support for Senator Yayi through their votes.
I urge them to sustain this support as he works towards taking the state to greater heights,” he said.Dr. Ololade further applauded party stakeholders and residents for delivering overwhelming support to the senator during the primary election, stressing that the party had chosen the right candidate.He also praised Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his contributions to the success of the APC during the just-concluded primary elections across the state.While congratulating the people of Ogun State, Dr. Ololade expressed confidence that Senator Yayi possesses the experience and capacity required to pilot the affairs of the state successfully if elected governor.
