Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced a reduction in the prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (diesel).
In a new pricing template released by the refinery on March 10, 2026, the gantry price of petrol was reduced by ₦100, bringing the cost down from ₦1,175 to ₦1,075 per litre.
The refinery also disclosed that PMS meant for coastal supply will now sell at ₦1,050 per litre, noting that the price variation is due to additional costs associated with maritime distribution.
Similarly, the gantry price of diesel has been lowered to ₦1,430 per litre from the previous ₦1,620 per litre, representing a reduction of ₦190 per litre.
According to the refinery, the newly announced gantry prices do not include regulatory charges imposed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
Meanwhile, Tribune Online had earlier reported that the refinery increased its PMS gantry price to ₦1,175 per litre on Monday, marking the third upward adjustment within seven days.
The revised ex-depot price was communicated to marketers and depot operators, reflecting an increase of ₦180 from the ₦995 per litre announced the previous Friday — an 18.1 per cent rise within three days.
