One of his notable contributions is the LAMACO Scholarship Scheme, through which he has promoted academic excellence among Ilara youths. The programme has awarded scholarships to several outstanding students, including first-class graduates, helping to shape the next generation of leaders.
Beyond education, the monarch plays a vital role in social development. He is an active member of the Cheerful Life Charity and Empowerment Foundation and currently serves as President of the Ultimate Social Club of Ilara, where he champions cultural unity and grassroots development.
A devout Muslim, Ọba Oyede-Lawal performed the Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia in 2012. In recognition of his dedication to Islamic causes, he was conferred with the title of Agbesinga Adeen of the Olosun Muslim Community. His commitment to community service is further reflected in his tenure as Secretary (2012–2016) and Chairman (2016–2022) of the Olateju Community Development Association.
Since ascending the throne as the Oloola of Ilara-Yewa in 2024, the monarch has been widely credited with fostering peace, promoting unity, reviving cultural heritage, and mediating disputes among stakeholders in the community.
Married and blessed with children, Ọba Oyede-Lawal continues to balance his responsibilities as a traditional ruler, administrator, and family man with remarkable dedication.
